Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame

Joe Curotte, an aggressive and rugged defenceman, played for the Caughnawaga Indians from 1965 to 1980 for both Junior and Senior Teams.  Joe played defence for the Jr. Caughnawaga Indians from 1965 to 1969 and the Senior Caughnawaga Indians from 1969 to 1980.

Jack Ashbee was a very competitive lacrosse player and builder of the game of lacrosse.  Jack played his Junior lacrosse for the Weston team in 1946-1947, known for his defensive play.  As a junior player he won the Most Valuable Player award. Jack then moved to Senior B Lacrosse playing for the Streetsville team from 1948-1949. In 1949 Jack move to Senior A Lacrosse playing for the West York Motors team, and in 1952 for the Fergus Senior A team.

Eric Perroni was one of the top defensive players in both Junior and Senior Lacrosse in Ontario.  Eric played his junior lacrosse with the Whitby Warriors Junior A team 1980-1985, winning Minto Cups in 1980, 1984 and 1985.  Eric played for the Brooklin Redmen Senior A Men’s Lacrosse team for 15 years, winning four Mann Cups in 1987, 1988, 1990 and 2000.

Robert “Bob” Vesey has been a tireless builder of lacrosse in Brooklin for the past 57 years. By all accounts, Bob has lived in Brooklin for the majority of his life and not a day goes by that he is not serving the Redmen in one function or another.

Mark Vitarelli played his lacrosse in Peterborough from 1967- 1976. Upon being side-lined by a knee injury Mark moved to coaching.
